Welcome to the Jefferson County School Media Association Web site. This professional organization is for school media librarians serving parochial, private and public schools in Jefferson County.

In our roles as school media librarians, we are often the lone librarian in our building. JCSMA gives us an opportunity to come together and share with our colleagues. Our three social events (the Fall Dinner, the Holiday Tea, and the Spring Dinner) bring school media librarians together to meet, to exchange ideas, and to learn about resources in the community. Additionally, JCSMA presents a scholarship to one person working towards a library degree and awards to outstanding librarians, administrators, and community partners. These awards help us to learn more about great ideas and events at school libraries across Jefferson County.

If you are not yet a member of JCSMA, think about joining this year. I think you will benefit from the chance to meet and share with other school media librarians.
